The rooms for rent is found on the ground floor of a townhouse in Prospect Heights and is accessible through a private entrance from the street. There is a shared kitchen, laundry facility and garden. WiFi internet access is available throughout the house. It is a six bedroom / three bathroom townhouse and the ground floor which has two bedroom and one bathroom is to share.
Bedroom 1 is furnished with a queen size bed, dresser, a table and chairs, and a small flat screen television with satellite channels and DVD player. The room has hardwood floors, a decorative fireplace, a closet for storage and a ceiling fan. Air conditioning is provided during hot months.

The shared bathroom is equipped with bathtub with shower, toilet, sink and bidet. Towels are provided.
The kitchen is equipped with all necessary items to cook but there is no oven. From the kitchen there is access to the garden, which is shared with the owner and other residents of the house.
Transportation: 2 and 3 trains at Bergen Street by Flatbush; B and Q trains at 7th Avenue and Flatbush are in walking distance.
Separated from Manhattan Island by the East River, Brooklyn is on of the five boroughs that together make up the city of New York. Prospect Heights is a neighborhood full of tree-lined streets with brownstone houses. It is right in between Fort Green Park and Prospect Park. It is in walking distance from the Brooklyn Academy of Music, also called "BAM", Pratt Institute, lots of shopping like supermarkets, bakeries, general stores, coffee shops, restaurants and bars.
Please note that a dog lives in this apartment, but that it is hypoallergenic.

The bedroom was comfortable and clean, however there was mold on the shower curtain and seals. Shower head was broken. Nothing worked in the extremely worn out kitchen: no hot water, oven is out of order, only one defective hotplate. Besides, the landlady took 200 dollars from my deposit because the kitchen sink was cracked. No fire alarm in the bedroom. |

I was pleasantly surprised by how big the room was. And the neighborhood is amazing ! It's close to so many subways and you can walk anywhere in less than 20 minutes. |

Clean and spacious room with a big bathroom. The apartment is located in a very good neighborhood with nearly all New York subway lines serving it, so it's very quick and convenient when you want to go to Manhattan. |

I did not think I would get so lucky with an apartment in New York, for such a good price. The room was very large and had everything I needed. There was even a small garden and a washer/dryer room. |
