The building manager is very welcoming and gave us useful advice to organize our stay. The apartment is located less than 10 minutes on foot from Times Square and several subway stations. It gives onto a courtyard so it is ultra-quiet. Enjoy your stay in central New York!

This apartment is located in a great area of town surrounded by restaurants and within walking distance to most of the major cultural centers in the city. We were here on business, so it suited our purposes wonderfully. The room is clean and nicely furnished, there was a warm welcome. the bed was comfortable, and the room was the perfect size for two working adults.
However, we were in the city during the hottest weekend of the year, and the air conditioner is in dire need of replacement, not just cleaning. I also wish we had been notified that there was a hookah lounge downstairs, because I am allergic to tobacco smoke.

Thanks for your review Natasha. We dismounted the AC and cleaned it really good and now it works just fine. We're sorry for the Hookah lounge, yes there's an Egyptian restaurant/hookah bar downstairs in the front building but all the staff is nice and respectful of our clientele.
None of the clientele access our backyard so it's stay quiet overall.
We'll be happy to see you again!

We were greatly welcomed. Very easy check-in and check-out. Simply decorated and functional apartment, comfortable bedding and efficient plumbing. The only negative point is that the partition walls and the floor are badly soundproofed, but if everyone is polite, everything is fine. As the apartment looks out onto the courtyard, it considerably reduces street noises.

Thank you Marianne, yes you're right it might not be the best soundproof in this building but we have a very respectful and discreet clientele:) We'll be happy to see you again!

Dear Rebeca,

Our stay in NYC was wonderful but we were quite disappointed with the apartment . The pictures on your website have nothing to do with the actual apartment. The location was very good but the building was very old and poorly maintained. The bedroom wasn't clean, the sheets looked dirty, the towels were clean but we also had to wash a teapot before using it. The stairs leading to the apartment were narrow so it was very uncomfortable to carry our suitcases and the carpet was very old and dirty. The first few days we were cold because the concierge had told us that the heating was controlled by a thermostat which would turn on automatically . We were 3 days without heating. The doorknob broke apart on the first day while closing the door. We didn't know if the door was actually closed. Regarding the noise we didn't hear anything from the street but we could hear noises from the restaurant located at the entrance. The concierge was actually really nice. He was very pleasant and helpful and took care of all our requests except for the heating, but he offered us some blankets. In short, we won't rent this apartment for our next stay in NYC. I hope this review will help others avoid being deceived. Best regards

Hi Concepcion.
Thank you for the comments. We had some problems last year with the cleaning staff during your stay, sorry about that. But now these problems are resolved. Thanks to your comments, we are improving the level of maintenance. The pictures on the website are now more accurate since the apartment is better maintained. We have replaced all the sheets and towels, and we are making efforts to clean the building and apartments better. Sorry about the narrow stairs, but they are typical of an old building in NYC. We will make sure to help carry the luggage in the future. Sorry about the defective doorknob, it has been repaired a while ago, and now working fine. The heating and air conditioning have also been repaired. We have also discussed with the adjoining restaurant to reduce noise at night.

Great location, lively neighborhood 5 min from Times Square but not any noise at all once in the apartment. Host responded to all my calls and offered solutions when needed. Very nice caretaker who waits on you hand and foot.

I think the heating should be improved. Either add a fan heater in the bathroom (the coldest space) or have a split hot/cold AC. Still, the heating was good and very useful to dry clothes since it wasn't burning hot.

Thank you for your review Nicolas. Yes, we have small heaters for the bathroom, next time ask our concierge, he will provide you with one.

Thank you.

The best place I could find, just 2 blocks from Times Square. Michael is the one who takes care of the building, he's a very nice person, very attentive and he speaks Spanish. I had booked from February 9 to 16, but because of the snow storm "Nemo", the flights were cancelled and I couldn't get to New York until February 11.

We communicated with Antoine to assess the situation and ask what was going to happen to my booking but he was very nice and he told me not to worry, that I was going to have the accommodation for 7 nights as booked.

The accommodation is small but it's just what we needed and for the price, it was excellent. Again, it's two blocks from Times Square and 3 blocks from the subway. There are lots of restaurants and bars around. I hope to go back to NY very soon and I'll certainly go back to stay in the same building.

Very kind and helpful apartment manager, feeling of safety inside the accommodation, better kitchen equipment would be preferable (can opener, chopping knife, toaster)

We loved New York. It is a trully fascinating city...And we should also tell you the apartment was up to our expectations. Michael was waiting for us, he's the super, and is such a nice person (speaks Spanish). Very kind, available and helpful.

If we could ever come back to this fascinating city we would think of you.

We had a nice stay in both apartments we rented. The first apartment for 2 nights: the radiator was noisy.

Anyway, we had a pleasant stay at this vacation rental and the janitor was really nice.

Thank you. I have already gave your number to one of my colleague for his future trip to NYC.
