New York Accommodation - 3 Bedroom Rental in Upper East Side (NY-14742)

This was a great apartment for 5 ladies to spend a week exploring NYC. It was spacious and clean with comfortable beds, great bathrooms, good appliances and the added bonus of the Metro directly below. The only thing letting it down is the very dirty carpet and the poorly lit general area between the lifts and the apartment entrance. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Well-located apartment with subway access just a short walk away.
Concierge service was efficient and pleasant.
Nice unobstructed view.
Chairs in the living room could be replaced,fragile.
There were not enough crockery and cutlery for 5 people, but we asked the concierge and it has been fixed

Beautiful apartment
We were 7 adults, this 3-bedroom apartment + a sofa bed in the living room was really comfortable, with a great view from the 21st floor.
The highlights: 3 big bedrooms with comfortable beds, 3 well-appointed bathrooms, 1 spacious and very pleasant living area and a very well-equipped kitchen.
Daily housekeeping and change of towels are very well performed.
The subway, just in front of the apartment, is a plus.

What could be improved: it is not complicated, make sure there are enough seats for 7 people or leave some folding chairs in one of the many cupboards.

Anyway, we had a very good stay.

Exceptional view! Spacious! Comfortable bedding! Bad quality furnishings and equipment compared to rental price: damaged sofas, oven and microwave don't work, worn out carpet, holes in partition walls. It is regrettable considering the rental price.

Highlights of the apartment: The size and layout of the apartment matched our needs, the bathroom linen was changed every day, the view of New York lit up at night for the atmosphere.
Cons: outdated carpet, unstable WIFI, water was sometimes slow to drain in the bathrooms, and most importantly : only 4 chairs around the table for an apartment of 6 people.

Good location in the center of Manhattan.

Apartment had defective air conditioning in the master bedroom, although the 3 bedroom we occupied was otherwise satisfactory. Repeated complaints about the air conditioning did not produce any improvement; we did receive a minor price adjustment at check out, but the inconvenience was not really made up. Presence of doorman was intermittent. Space was good, size of apartment was good, kitchen items worked and a couple of glass baking pans were provided on request; furnishings were okay, not particularly shabby but definitely nothing special. Had to ask for 2 additional dining chairs, despite the occupancy being for 6-8 there were only 4 chairs, and no bar stools at the kitchen counter. Photos were not quite accurate in terms of dining area space. Two bedrooms were locked and inaccessible when we arrived; had to ask for them to be opened. Arriving at 9 pm local time, all this was inconvenient and annoying, but the night staff did fill our requests. Management on the cheap, I expect.

Positive points: the new subway station just in front of the building, very convenient, as well as shops and restaurants nearby. Neighborhood is quiet and pleasant. Apartment was spacious for our group of 8. Reception staff was very kind and available, always ready to help.
Negative points: bathrooms' plumbing (especially showers which were mediocre). Extra pans and frying pans would also be necessary in the kitchen.

This was an interesting hybrid between a rental apartment and a hotel. On the positive side, daily maid service was a plus,having a 24/7 front desk available for questions was also nice, and the staff were exemplary. Unlike most other rental apartments, there was absolutely no artwork or other decoration on the walls; it was like a stark white prison in that respect, and the kitchen was stocked with a bare minimum of utensils (example: frying pan, but no spatula for turning the food). There was a relatively new flatscreen TV in each room, but the signal was not full HD, and the WiFi was not secure, so we were not able to work from the apartment (employers' policy). Sound proofing was excellent; we rarely heard our neighbors, and noise from the street was minimal during the evening, except when we opened the windows due to the lack of cooling capability from the antiquated air conditioners. During the day, the construction noise from the 2nd avenue subway project was substantial.

Very nice apartment for three couples. There is an amazing view on New York City. This apartment is close to Central Park but a bit far from the heart of Manhattan. It is also a bit noisy mainly because of renovation works going on in the subway.

Beautiful property with great views of NYC skyline. This location was a little far from places we wanted to visit, but the subway nearby was convenient.

The apartment was very comfortable and spacious!

Everything about the experience was excellent.

The apartment suited our needs perfectly. It was clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful and our large group felt very cared for!

Perfect location - easy to get to the subway and all around the city.

The staff was courteous. Dennis allowed us to check in early. This unit was great. My only complaint is that the ice maker in the freezer did not work. The building does not have a ice-maker either.

We went to 2 different liquor stores on 2nd ave and neither one had ice.

This apartment is located in a building which also operates as a hotel; the staff was excellent--cheerful, accessible, competent and always helpful. They made our stay just lovely.

We were on the 28th floor, and had gorgeous views. The apartment was clean well-equipped and furnished. Housekeeping staff came to clean every day. There is construction right at the corner of 94th and 2nd, where the apartment is located. Because we were on the 28th floor, noise wasn't an issue, and neither, really, was traffic, etc. In fact, my husband was fascinated by the scope of the construction.

I'd say the only drawback was that 94th was a little further out than I would have liked. Still, 96th and Lexington is a subway/bus hub, so it was very easy to use public transportation. It was also relatively easy to catch a cab downtown on 2nd Ave and uptown on 3rd.

So, all in all, it was great.

Not enough pots, pans, cooking utensils and microwaveable dishes. Nothing decent to boil water in for tea, etc.

Carpets are shabby. Beds are great! Too hot under duvet, no light blanket options.

Very nice apartment. lovely view. a bit off the center of Manhattan for nightlife, but for jogging it is close to Central Park. nice and helpful welcome. Kitchen insufficiently equipped for cooking. Simple decoration. Comfortable beds.

Absolutely wonderful apartment, spacious and comfortable. Excellent beds and immaculate. A bit noisy though. But the view is splendid and this accommodation did greatly contribute in making our stay in New York a success.

I'll do it again in a heartbeat.

Decoration: a bit outdated - apartment needs a revamp. Soundproofing: to be checked. Costly for the location.

Carpets were badly stained, wifi very poor for entire stay, washing machine temperamental.

Met our expectations

This was a terrific place, exceptionally large bedrooms and common spaces for a NY rental.
Bathrooms were clean and modern. We were up on the 31st floor so any street noise from the subway construction was not an issue.

Views were amazing in several directions. We would definitely stay here again!

This apartment well exceeded our expectations. All the rooms were large clean and had views to die for.

The apartment was very well equiped and cleaned from top to bottom everyday, we loved the location everything you need is just outside your door!

We used the subway which was a bit of a walk but we managed it even in a heatwave!

We will be recommending this Apartment to all our friends/family. We will definatley stay here again an absolute highlight of our trip to NYC.

Nice welcome, helpful staff. Downside: the individual beds are very hard.

Top Appartment for six.

The accommodation was great: good location, very nice and bright, very clean and much larger than it shows on the photos. The works on the subway line were very noisy in the morning but we were not in the apartment later in the day and it was quiet in the evening and at night.

Very pleased. Would stay again.

Good value for money. The kitchen worked well, the dining table could have been bigger.
