On the heights of Carry le Rouet, in a residential neighboorhood overlooking the sea, this villa offers two independent bedrooms.
Those bedrooms are available as a Bed&Breakfast for a couple. The guests will have their private bathroom and will have access to the living-room, the terrace and the garden.
Entering the Villa (1st French floor), a hallway leads to the 2 bedrooms on your left.
The bedroom 'beige and blue' is terra cotta-tiled and has a large French door looking onto the terrace. It is furnished with two twin beds, a trunk and a wardrobe.
The en-suite private bathroom has a tub, a washbasin and a toilet.
There is also a second bedroom also listed as a B&B, furnished with a double size bed.
Wireless Internet is available throughout the house.
Each room has direct access to the garden and the terrace where breakfast will be served.
A small path will lead you to the closest beach (about 10 minutes walk). Parking space is available close to the villa.
Carry le Rouet is close a Sausset les Pins a fishing port of approximately 8,000 inhabitants. It is located on the Blue Coast, between Marseille and La Camargue. It is a highly sought-after spot for sailing navigation. Diving and sailing schools are available. Mountain bikes can be rented in Carry le Rouet.
Off the village, the Blue Coast's National Marine Park Reserve generates marine animal-life and flora and is famous for its sea urchins. Those little beasts live in shallow water and can reach 8 cm in diameter ! But the only edible part of the "oursin"(in French) is the coral. Tasting requires no cooking or preparation, just a twist of lemon. At Sausset les Pins in January and at Carry le Rouet in February, the sea urchin rules : it’s the time of the local "oursinades" with on-the-spot tasting at the port. Urchins should not be picked up in the summer. A will also find a Leisure Park, a few minutes from Carry le Rouet.
A few kilometers to the North, the village of Martigues has been baptized "Venise provençale" by Vincent Scotto because of the canals that join up its neighborhood. Martigues is more than just a port, it is a real lakeside town where hundreds of boats glide through the ever-changing waters of the lagoon. The town and the Etang de Berre attracted many painters such as Ziem or Corot, of which the favorite spot was always the "miroir aux oiseaux". During summertime, the open-air cafés allow one to relish the delights of sardines and mouclades. A few kilometers from the town is the colorful port of Carro. The Blue Coast has different kind of beaches : near Carro and the Cap Couronne are some sandy beaches but most of the shores host shingle or rocky beaches.
Carry Le Rouet is located 35 kilometers from Marseilles and 40 kilometers from Aix en Provence. The closest expressway is the A55 (exit Carry le Rouet). Marseille-Provence International Airport and Eurocopter are only 15-20 minutes drive away.
