Villa Cézanne welcomes guests with a lit pool, candles, and a warm interior at dusk.

Named for the grandfather of Post-Impressionism, Paul Cézanne, this luxurious four-bedroom villa outside Aix en Provence takes its design cues from the modern art that the painter’s work inspired. With unique modernist furniture, sleeping space for the whole family, and a beautiful poolside terrace outside, this Provençal villa is a dream come true!

The Great Room

Villa Cézanne’s great room offers a fireplace, dining table, sitting room, and more!

The heart of any home is its hearth. Gather around the sleek fireplace in the living room of this villa and you’ll find space for the whole family to come together and relax. Tasteful wooden and black cloth armchairs, a long contemporary-style sofa, and a faux fur rug beneath it all create a unique common area at the core of the villa. An enormous flat-screen TV provides entertainment.

The double-height ceilings add even more grandeur to the space, accented by light-toned exposed beams above the wooden dining table for eight. Plenty of natural light floods in through the wall-to-wall bay window facing the pool and terrace, which allows communication between the inside and outside of the house.

The kitchen

Warm wood tones contrast with the sleek modern amenities in the kitchen.

Far from the open hearths that were once used in preparing traditional Provençal cuisine, the cooking space in this rental is state-of-the-art! After entering through the doorway from the dining area, you’ll find a breakfast table with four chairs surrounded by an L-shaped counter space. The white of the cabinets contrasts with the warm natural-wood tones on the countertops, and it’s all complemented by the brushed aluminum and stainless steel appliances.

A full oven and a microwave are stacked one above the other to open up the possibilities for cooking. The stovetop is electric with a minimalist hood above for ventilation purposes. A window by the coffeemaker provides natural light. A blender, electric kettle, and toaster complete the appliance selection, so you’ll have no trouble finding the right tools for the job, no matter what you’re cooking!
