This tastefully refurbished Mas is located on the edge in a little hamlet located between Avignon & Carpentras, about 10 kilometers from the village of Pernes les Fontaine, and 12 kilometers from L'Isle sur la Sorgue.
This accommodation is available for weekly rentals throughout the year and can accommodate 8/9 people.
The layout is as follows :
Ground floor :
On the garden level is a large south exposed terrace with garden furniture. You enter the house through an entrance hall giving access to a large living area with nice exposed beams and a separate kitchen.
There is a large sofa with armchairs, a coffee table, as well a magnificent fireplace. There is a TV and a stereo
The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, gas burners, an oven, a American standard refrigerator / freezer, a coffee maker and a toaster.
There is a separate WC with a washbasin and a washing machine.
(One master bedroom on this floor will remain locked during rentals).
From the living room, a staircase leads to the bedrooms.
First French floor :
Five bedrooms are available, four of them have a window facing south & the garden.
The first bedroom has a queen size bed with a chest of drawers. There is a window facing south and opening onto the garden. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a stall shower .
The second bedroom is furnished with a double bed and a small closet. There is a window facing south and an en-suite bathroom with a tub and a washbasin.
The third bedroom is furnished with two single beds and a small chest of drawer.
The fourth bedroom is furnished with a double bed and a large built-in closet.
The fifth bedroom is equipped with a single child s bed and has a window facing north (Pictures could not be taken).
These bedrooms share a large bathroom with a washbasin and a tub.
There is a separate toilet.
Two large terraces are available in front of the property, one of them is covered.
The garden is planted with trees and lawn. The pool (with security fence) is located at the end of the garden in a very private environment.
Some garden furniture is available.
The house is located near a hamlet that has a bakery, a grocery, a bar, a little restaurant and a hairdresser. For more shopping there is a huge hypermarket (Auchan) a few kilometers away. You will definitely need a car though as there are many interesting things to do and see in the region: the famous Alpilles are about 30 minutes drive away and the Luberon mountains about 30 minutes drive as well. Nearby, you also have the Ventoux Mountain that culminates at an altitude of 1,912 meters and is usually covered by a thick coat of snow in winter. The UNESCO has classified it as "Biosphere reserve". Its majestic windswept peak sails through the clouds, like a gigantic ship of stone. The area is particularly famous for its exceptional variety of rambling circuits, which will lead nature lovers along wonderful paths. But the dominant feature of the local landscape is also its vineyards. As a matter of fact, the "Coteaux du Ventoux" is a famous wine producing area. You will be able to do wine tasting session or visit authentic cellars.
The closest large village of Les Valeyans is Pernes les Fontaines (5-10 minutes drive distant). Or you can go the picturesque market of L'Isle sur La Sorgues (on Sundays). This lovely village is famous for its Antique flea market.
The closest motorway is the A7 (exit Avignon Nord) is 10-15 minutes drive away. It goes from Lyon to Marseille with connections for all major cities of the south east of France. Aix en Provence is about 90 kilometers away, which is about 50-60 minutes drive.
The closest train station is at Avignon and is served by the TGV (Train Grande Vitesse) that goes to Paris in 2 hours and 40 minutes! The closest airport is Avignon (30 minutes drive away) as well with daily flights to Paris. But most international connections are made through the international airports of Marseille-Marignane or Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
