This one bedroom apartment is located on the second floor (first floor for Europeans) of a walk-up building built in 1905, in the heart of the East Village in Manhattan, New York.
The living area is equipped with a wall closet and dress unit. There is a flat screen TV with cable as well as a small dining table. The kitchen, which still has a cast-iron, porcelain lined bathtub, with claw feet, has been fitted with a water closet, with lavatory and small sink and fully equipped kitchenette. The kitchenette is equipped with a small refrigerator, microwave, boiler, toaster and coffee maker. There are basic dishes and glasses provided. A standard sized table is built-in and extents, threw a window cut between the kitchen and the third room. This room contains the air conditioning unit, for the entire apartment.
The bedroom at the far end of this apartment features a full sized mezzanine bed with plenty of storage space underneath and an air conditioning unit as well as a small desk space. The northern exposed windows allow light into the apartment and look onto the street.The room includes an 18 inch mattress, duplex closet and reading lighting.
The living room/study has a large window and faces the tree lined street. It is designed, for a scholar and has a large role-down desk, well worn, but serviceable, a comfortable chair and bookcase. In addition, the flat screen in in this room, with additional seating. The third room, also, functions as a dressing room with adequate clothing storage, for two people, with a vanity table and two mirrors.
The bathroom includes a w/c and a small sink in a separate room. **Please note that the bathtub with shower head is outside the bathroom in the living area. There are curtains to separate the bedroom area from the bathing area and the dining area.**
Please note that the floor is raw yellow pine and requires careful use.

The subway at 2 Avenue / Houston Street : Lower East Side (0.6 mi/1.0 km) serves the F line, the subway at 8 Street / Broadway : New York University (0.8 mi/1.3 km) serves the N, Q, and R lines, and the subway at Astor Place / 4 Avenue (0.7 mi/1.2 km) serves lines 4 and 6.

I had a very positive experience with regard to the apartment even if it isn't very large, indeed, it is quite small which is fine for a holiday. The owner was very courteous and always stepped in very quickly whenever I needed something. Altogether I think it was okay.
