In the hot summer days enjoy the swimming pool in Marcus Garvey Park located 0.3 miles (550 m) away and other park amenities they have such as basketball courts and playgrounds. For dining options discover many destination eateries such as Lido, the Harlem Tavern, and the Lenox Lounge where there is usually some jazz band entertainment.
There are many subway stations near the apartment as well. For downtown access (all the way to Brooklyn) there is the 116th Street/Lenox Avenue Station ( Lines: 2,3). Other stations in the area include the 116th Street/8th Avenue B,C train.
