This one bedroom in Harlem is a great option for those looking to be in a renovated apartment above the ground floor. The apartment is on the 2nd floor (known as the 1st floor by Europeans) of a 4-story walk-up building, complete with buzzer/intercom system for guest entry.
Inside the building, you will be greeted with exposed brick as you walk upstairs to the apartment. The layout provides a nice division of the space, with the living room separated into two: a living area with sofa and flat screen TV and a dining area with a large table and 4 chairs. The kitchen is open and has track lighting to illuminate the space; deluxe stainless steel appliances allow you to prepare full meals at home, and you can clean up easily thanks to the dishwasher! The bedroom and bathroom are on the northern end of the apartment, where you will find three closets for storing your things. The bedroom is simply furnished to emphasize the space: there is a queen bed, a desk and a matching dresser and bed-stand set. Not one but THREE windows allow in natural light and overlook a grassy backyard area, away from the street.
This apartment is situated off of one of Harlem's most famous thoroughfares, Lenox Avenue. Here you have your pick of shops and eateries, from chains to local favorites. You can grab a sandwich at Subway or taste some elevated comfort food like lobster mac and cheese at Corner Social, both about a block away (less than 325 meters). West 125th Street, one street to the south, has a shopping corridor that includes Marshalls, H&M and more. If you would like to have a picnic or cool off in the outdoor swimming pool, check out the Marcus Garvey Park, also within easy walking distance at a quarter of a mile (about 350 meters) from this one bedroom apartment.
This part of Manhattan has lots to offer, but when you want to travel to the rest of New York City, you can grab one of the express trains at Lenox Avenue and 125th Street, an efficient way to get downtown fast! The 2/3 line runs down the Upper West Side or north to the Bronx and will even take you to Brooklyn if you stay on long enough! New York waits for you to visit them with this Uptown apartment!

Very nice, clean and well equiped: I would just suggest the owner to find a way to install washing machine and buy appropriate kitchen Equipment like tefal. otherwise it has been a very good experience. The tenant was so kind; available anytime. The owner is very kind too and flexible: I love the experience and thank you for all. |
