The Union Square of Manhattan is located in the southern/eastern part of this central New York borough, and is a focal point for the artistic scene in New York City. Try some Japanese food at Kambi - Ramen House just across the street from the studio, or get a slice of artichoke pizza that made Artichoke Basille's Pizza famous in NYC! Two blocks south, S'MAC is said to have the best Macaroni and Cheese in the city! Additionally, New York University is close by, only 0.7 miles to the west (about 1.1 km). New York landmarks such as the Empire State Building tower over the local skyline; this particular one is only 1.5 miles to the north (about 2.4 km away). The quaint Greenwich Village, with lots of shops and eateries and considered to be another focal point of the New York art scene, is only 1.3 miles (about 2 km) to the west. There is a grocery store at the end of the block to stock up on groceries, as well as plenty of shops nearby including convenience stores, shoe stores, bike shops, and other places that make life in the city easier to navigate and enjoy.
The closest subway station is 1 Avenue / 14 Street, served by the L train. Walk to 14 Street / Broadway : Union Square and you will have access to 6 other lines that wil take you anywhere you need to go in NYC!
