With the world economy recovering New York is one of the 1st markets in the U.S. to see a turnaround in the travel market both from American customers as well as international customers. Furthermore, in the 1st half of 2010 the Euro gained value against the U.S. Dollar which helped boost the number of Europeans visiting New York.
