Every year, a famous festival to honor this vineyard and the grape harvest is held in October, all profits of which go to local charities.
Montmartre is also famous for its cabarets. The Moulin Rouge and the Le Chat Noir have featured many up and coming artists, singers, and performers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Over time, Montmartre has increasingly become more cosmopolitan and in more demand by local inhabitants.
